1. Introduction

Pummel.ai (“Pummel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an AI comparison and synthesis platform designed to help users make better decisions by evaluating multiple AI model outputs.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you access or use our website, application, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Services, and limited technical information necessary to operate securely.

  • Account Information: Email address and authentication credentials. Passwords are encrypted and never stored in plaintext.
  • Usage Content: Prompts you submit, model selections, and generated responses, along with associated metadata such as timestamps, token counts, and latency.
  • Billing Information: Payment details are processed and stored by our payment processor, Stripe. Pummel does not store full credit card numbers.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and log data required for security, rate limiting, and fraud prevention.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services
  • Process prompts through selected AI model providers at your request
  • Manage accounts, subscriptions, and billing
  • Enforce usage limits and prevent abuse
  • Improve reliability, performance, and product features
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations

4. AI Model Providers

When you submit a prompt, Pummel transmits that prompt to the AI providers you have selected (including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google) solely to generate responses on your behalf.

We access these providers via commercial APIs. As a result, your prompts are generally not used to train their models. Each provider processes data in accordance with its own privacy policies:

Pummel does not use your prompts or responses to train AI models. Content is processed solely to deliver the Services and, where applicable, to provide session history or system diagnostics.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. Usage content may be retained for a limited period (typically up to 90 days) for operational and security purposes, after which it may be deleted or anonymized.

Upon account deletion, personal data is deleted within 30 days, subject to legal or regulatory retention requirements.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, restricted access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Requests may be submitted to privacy@pummel.ai.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
